School and COMPASS COUNCIL

Here at Alderwood Primary, we have an established an extremely active School Council.  We have representatives from Years 3 - 6, including our Sycamore Class, who are actively involved in many areas of school life.  They also lead on many fund-raising activities for a variety of charities.

Current members are

• Palm - Jai and Amber
• Maple - Izzabella and Kaamil
• Elm - Libby and Harper

They are the voice of all pupils at Alderwood and take their role extremely seriously.  We elect new members via a secret ballot during the Autumn Term. 

Our Oak Class Representatives are also part of our Compass Council who meet throughout the year in various locations. 

eCO cOUNCIL

We also have a very active Eco Council who work hard to promote sustainability within our school.

We are proud to be looking after our local area through litter picks.  We work hard to recycle as much of our waste as possible. 

Junior travel ambassadors

We have secured our Gold STARS award for sustainable travel.  Many of our families walk, cycle or scoot to school to support us with this vision.
